Brandy Casey
Brandy comes to Robin Glen from the world of life insurance brokerage. From a part-time admin job at a life insurance brokerage, she has worked her way through the industry, gaining experience in life brokerage, at a large U.S. carrier and in management. Through those roles, she has had the opportunity to work with a number of great leaders and mentors and has gained experience with industry technology and learning how much coordination it takes to get a policy placed.
In each different role she has had, she has grown more passionate about using her strengths to improve the producer and consumer experience..
What is your planning super power?
My workplace superpower is staying organized focusing on priority, process, and efficiency. I do this by using tools, thinking methodically, and collaborating with subject matter experts.
Who is your hero?
My hero is my very good friend, she doesn’t let overwhelming state of the world make her cynical. Day in and day out she gives support and compliments to others. She shows me the best side of humanity. Because of her, I know I am a more compassionate and better person.
What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
The best piece of advice I have received was from a former co-worker who is also a very good friend of mine. As I was starting out in a new management role, her advice was, “Don’t be you, remember that most other people don’t think the way you do”. She reminded me everyone has value to add when collaborating, challenges lead to opportunities, and true leadership comes with self-awareness.
